The funders and co-authors of this project are the Mada Center (Qatar Assistive Technology Center) which is a non-profit organisation dedicated to connecting people with disabilities to the world of information and communication technology. Mada was established by the Supreme Council for Information and Communication Technology (ictQatar) in June 2010 as a public private partnership with Qtel, Vodafone Qatar, Qatar National Bank, and Microsoft.
David Banes – CEO Mada Center. Prior to taking up his post in Qatar, David worked as a teacher of people with special needs and principal of a school before working in the realm of digital Inclusion in the UK and Europe as Director of Operations and Development for a UK NGO. He writes regularly in the area and was recently featured on Anthony Salcitos “Global leaders in Education”

Erik Zetterström – Project Manager and Author who led on Research and Development in the Mada Center and is now a consultant based in Sweden. Erik is a computer scientist specialising in IT solutions for people with disabilities and standardisation for eInclusion and has managed several external research and development projects, having previously worked in the communications industry with��Omnitor in Sweden.
Shilipi Kapoor – Evangelist and founder of Net Systems Informatics, Shilpi Kapoor, set up BarrierBreak with a distinct vision to ‘break the barriers of knowledge and disabilities’. A Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer with over 18 years of industry experience, Shilpi is trained in the field of Section 508 and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). She has also been instrumental in drafting the National Policy on Electronic Accessibility in association with National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People.
